To the family.

I've just taken sixteen hundred thought bubbles to say that family is more important than science. A bit strange. There are a few extra details in there to pad that out. Plus, if you add in there that I have been a protected species, probably from childhood, that might explain a few more things.

I have an older brother who protected me in childhood (Thank you, Hank) and another brother who introduced me to the electrical industry (Thank you, Theo). My initial employers protected me and my western service in country Queensland protected me, and introduced me to a range of churches.

My wife has spoiled me rotten and Mum and Dad gave us their legacy: Independence of thought and action in a middle class, working environment. So, can a person who has lived in a protective bubble all his life have anything to say on the nature of reality? That bubble has allowed me to explore the world of the electrical industry, microprocessors and automated control systems, applied physics, multiple books on evolution theory and education, all of which are crucial to the origins debate.

What sets the nature of reality? Its family, community and industry, and if we scratch under the surface of biology, it's information technology and machinery. Work backwards from there, to a Universe that makes all that possible, and we can know that Mum and Dad introduced us to the correct world view. We don't come from slime and we're not related to monkeys.

Today, we can know that the Creator of the Universe was into programming and is a mechanical engineer. We now know from the "money shots" in the Bible, (The Gospel of John) that the Creator was God, the Son (Ch 1), who introduced us to God, the Father (Ch 5) and promised us a Helper (Ch 14), God, the Holy Spirit, for our daily lives. Always incredible.

If that's reality, is there any religion in that world view? I hope we can see the answer will be no. Just that idea will change how we view our Creator. And then another detail helps us out with the dramas we have in life: That Creator let himself be nailed to some wood to give us our shot at destiny. He's looking for our thanks and he's looking for helpers. Don't worry about our age.

A note on my poems. I can't explain the structure I chose, but I can explain some other things. Right at the start, I had the premise: One beginning, one history, one object. There are at least two upsides in putting the Universe on the table in front of us. One is simple, we can't explain it by describing it.

The other upside relates to time. Albert Einstein's relativity allows us to say the Universe is not old if it's sitting on the table over there, but if we're in the Universe and looking out, then it looks old. All conventional science. That has the potential to keep the creationists and evolutionists happy. The evolutionists won't like that.

We live in a privileged historical position in relation to world views. We now know life was engineered, we know the name of the engineer, we know he can protect his word for us to now have on our phone, and we know what he did for us to prepare us for eternity. Note: No religion involved, as in, am I a religious person? No. Just thankful.

What's the key to the origins debate? This is not my idea but I have used it throughout the thought bubbles: It's people projecting a religious view onto science. There's no other way to explain all the drama. I go with the idea that evolution came out of the churches, but modern evolutionists don't seem to be aware of that.

That protective bubble allowed me to see first hand the developments in semiconductor devices. Today, we have to be able to say IGBT, (Insulated gate, bipolar transistor). When we see the word "Inverter", it's probably using some of those devices. That allows us to appreciate what no generation before us could have imagined, the usefulness built into the rocks at the beginning, thus giving an insight into the pre-planning involved.

Our God has always bypassed the status quo, and now he has the ability to bypass the Churches using the usefulness in rocks, right at the start, to make semiconductors for our mobile phones, for people to be able to read the Bible, anywhere on the planet. A little bit scary and exciting. (Check out the warning in Matthew 3:9)

Forget about how old we are, our Creator is looking for people to build his Church. The real Church is probably spread across all denominations. Star Wars got a few analogies right. The good guys are embedded with the bad guys, and vis versa. So have a go at redefining what a Christian is, and what type of God we have. It's worth the effort. When looking at what to do, the word "repentance" means a change of attitude to our direction in life, and an "about face" towards a spectacular triune deity.

Have a go at a comparison of Adam's knowledge with our knowledge. When he was told of a restriction in the garden, he didn't know the nature of the person telling him that. We do. After the fall, he was given the promise of deliverance, but we know of its implementation. Our Creator's visit, his death, his resurrection and promise of the Holy Spirit to help. Adam and Eve had the overviews, we have the details. Sort of.

We are part of Adam's family, we have been given our shot, and we now know the nature of our deity, with all of the assurances that, in this crazy world, He is in control. Our Grand theory of everything: Base layer.

How do you build a grand theory of everything, a GTE? You start with something objective and obvious. If you've been following the sequence on this website, the central dogma of biology is DNA, RNA, amino-acids, proteins. Sometimes written as DNA, transcription, translation, proteins, touched on in CTU IV: Destiny calls. So, if we decide to have four boxes for the central dogma in our GTE, and we place our version into the four boxes, we obtain the following:

1: Data management and storage. 2: Data retrieval and de-multiplexer processing. 3: Machine data entry and raw parts assembly. And 4: Final assembly and distribution. This is uncontroversial because even the most ardent evolution evangelists acknowledge the information technology in biology, but they have another agenda.

If we put another box around those four boxes, and put maybe 50 'in' arrows and 5 'out' arrows on that box, we are adding the most recent information to our overview, called epigenetics, where the inputs to a cell tell its systems what data to access and in what way. The fifty-five arrows represent the millions of cellular and system inputs, and a proportionate amount of outputs.

Next. What's missing when we've just set out some process control steps and want to complete our block diagram. We have the process: The central dogma. We have the inputs and outputs. What essential block is missing. It's the power supply. Where does that sit? The end result of cellular respiration is the ATP turbines, energizing the ADP to give ATP for all cellular energy needs. The sequence to account for that is photo-synthesis to produce glucose, and that powers the proton turbines.

Photo-synthesis requires sunlight, water and carbon-dioxide to produce that glucose: As in, photons, H₂0 and CO₂ to produce C₆H₁₂0₆. From this, what can we say plants are? In our system, with IT and chemical and mechanical engineering as our overview, an apple tree is a hydrogen amplifier. And photo-synthesis is linked to the water, oxygen and carbon cycles. That power supply joins to all four boxes in the central dogma.

Next: How do we link the nitrogen cycle to the central dogma? Nitrogen being a very unreactive atmospheric gas. If you've been following along, you will know it's the bugs, the plants, then us and the atmosphere. That cycle joins the central dogma at the third box and leaves at the fourth box.

Summary: How many subatomic particles have we used in our model so far? We've used electrons because they are associated with all chemical processes to join the elements, the molecules, the polymers, the machines. We've used photons because they are produced by the Sun, end up at Earth, and power the hydrogen amplifiers. And we've used protons because the cellular machinery strips away the electron from the hydrogen, leaving only the proton to be used in the turbines.

The language of IT and engineering for the central dogma dictates the rest of the language for our model. (We won't be mathematical, so anybody, maybe from 15 years old and up, can understand. The nitrogen, carbon, water and oxygen cycles on Earth link directly into the central dogma, and then the essential role for photons, electrons and protons link the central dogma to the Universe.

All looking good for the real Grand Design. And you would have to search for quite a while on the web to find out how the central dogma links to those cycles of evidence. Remembering all identified cycles are chicken and egg problems. Enjoy. Henri.

Our Grand theory of everything: Second layer.

Okay, we have our base layer down, which consists of 6 boxes: The central dogma, 4 boxes, the epigenetic layer, with inputs and outputs, 1 box, and the power supply, 1 box. This second layer will counter the cosmological principle from the evolutionists. From the cosmologists I suppose. After a lot of possible candidates, one being the 7 P's from the Australian Army, (We looked at it with envy) we settled on the "Exceptionality Principle". One-up-man-ship: 5 syllables for cosmological, 6 syllables for exceptionality.

The evolutionists link the cosmological principle to expansion of space, and their various models, to make it sound technical, but it basically implies, no God, no special properties for the Universe and everything is the result of the blind, random forces of nature. We've decided to go with the opposite: We are special, and we have an exceptional Universe. Using our base layer, we have chosen 7 exceptional aspects of reality to demonstrate the principle.

1: The information density afforded by the DNA structure. Regularly written about, in awe. 2: The speed at which life's control systems operate. The envy of all systems control engineers. 3: The number of inputs at the cellular and organism level. Imagine the unbelievable alternatives for the Lotto if there were a million choices instead of 6 or 7 options.

4: The depth of the Universe: The periodic table and quantum depth: The heart of mystery. 5. The scale of the Universe: Light years to anything else: The soul of majesty. 6: Our Brains. More synaptic connections than there are stars in the Universe? That's one of the rumours. And 7: Our language. That sets us apart from the rest of the Universe.

We have touched on the Prior Preparation and Planning seen in the rocks for our technology, in CTU III: The Touch. The search for superconductivity at room temperature. And touched on the special properties of the trace elements, in CTU IV: Destiny Calls. We are keeping an eye on the rumour that most of the phosphorous in the Universe is to be found on planet Earth.

So what's our second layer all about? Building on the base layer. We introduced the genetic, systems and mechanical Engineer in CTU II: Beyond the veil, and that goes with the base layer of information technology and engineering. The exceptionality principle points to the care in planning involved to obtain the final afterglow that we see and use in industry and commerce today.

The exceptionality principle can keep the scientific enterprise grounded, because of its objective base, in a world that appears to a lot of people to be in total chaos. It also keeps believers happy when we use our language to give our unconsidered output, "Wow!" and our considered output, "Thank you" and, "I'm here and I'm available". Henri.
