The Museum

At Plus X Museum, Brisbane, Queensland, we have 12,000 Plastic figurines on display. 28 years of collecting. All the thrills of treasure hunting.
Works of art are the tangible flowers on the tree of human imagination. We have collected some for your enjoyment. But we invite you to pause, and contemplate the Universe. When undertaking this fantastic adventure, we encourage you to think the best thoughts and stay positive. Mankind is not lost in an immense Universe, but we are among the stars and ride with them. Catch the idea? But find that quiet corner.

The Book ("It's Cosmic" by Bert Poelstra)
The content on this page is some tweaked material from the book, "It's Cosmic", completed in 2009 and written prior to "Contemplate the Universe". We see the passion in the evolution scepticism conveyed, but, looking back, not the finishing touches, hence the word tweaked. The following is part of its introduction.
This book contains the thoughts and motivation, in poetic form, behind the establishment, in 2004, of Plus-X Museum, Queensland, Australia. All poems were written between 2001 and 2009.
Yes, we are contemplating the mysterious creativity factor in the universe after looking at examples of human creativity and imagination.
One of the fun things about the origins debate is that biological organisms are beginning to look more like machines. As our knowledge of life on earth and technology increases, a person could easily guess that this trend will continue as the line, between life and machines, becomes blurred, mimicking science fiction.

We started collecting in 1988. The PVC figures were cheap, colourful and fun to collect. Our collecting included baby squeaker toys, small "what is it" objects and more. Collecting on a budget. Now we've run out of room.
