The Sights

When destiny calls: Make up your own mind.
Some content from page 25 sets the starting context for this page. Enjoy.
The electronic version of our book can be purchased from the Kindle store.

Where did we finish? Ah yes. Enjoy.
Remember now, sonnets are meant to be spoken.

For exercise: Make sure to cross train.
This is our continuing project: The search for happiness, destiny and how to rescue souls. "CTU IV: Destiny calls". Enjoy.
Some of the following content will have a deeper context after reading Contemplate the Universe, Beyond the veil and The Touch.
By the look of things, we will have to highlight the above because, just like someone looking at the last few pages of a book, we may catch the flame, but have missed the fireworks in between. So make sure to take a look at some of the previous content of this website, if you've jumped straight to this page. We've covered a bit of ground.

The above thought bubble was prompted again by another Cornelius post. He's got all the good stuff. (Nuclear Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor). A search on growth factors tells us, all cells can generate growth factors. Whereas hormones come mostly from glands. Don't quote me.
The receptors, remember, are the toys in cell walls, probably in other places, that accept ligands and hormones, to signal the cell to do something else.
You will be introduced to ontogeny, the topic we're looking at now, and other topics like wound healing, and the head explodes again. One topic that caught my eye was "angiogenesis". That appears to be the process of setting up the structures to set up the new blood vessels during wound healing and probably the broader term for that during growth and development.
Good hunting. Henri
Because we seem a little bolder at the moment, it's probably time to repeat two of our caveats. Short version: When we say, Grand Designer, we're not being scientific, but wow, the science helps. No, we're not part of the ID movement, but we love the atmosphere it creates.
Analogy: A criminalist, works with the scientific toys, and hands that information to the investigators. From our perspective, scientists and ID work with the scientific toys and information, and we are the investigators. Sometimes the criminalist is also the investigator. So the lines are sometimes blurred, but normally, the distinction can be seen.
One other caveat is a reminder to ourselves as well. When we refer to evolutionists and thought police, we are not referring to atheists. Yes, the atheists are in there. But we are actually referring to evolutionists, inside and outside the Church. Cornelius is onto something, and this writer knows this from personal experience, from Bible College days.
Everyone has an opinion on God, no matter what comes out of our mouth. We address those who have obtained some sort of celebrity, and who seem to want to educate the uneducated masses on life and love.

Looks like we are going to have to embrace two new words (What's new): "Catabolic" and its derivations. The process of breaking down larger bits into smaller bits. As opposed to "Anabolic": Building up. I assume both mean two different versions of metabolism: Maybe a combination of the two, digestion then growth and repair.

I had a good belly laugh again, on the week-end, because I was searching on bacterial images, and decided to visit a cite that had an interesting picture. It showed the position of the ATP turbine, it showed the high speed flagellar motor that the intelligent design people emphasize, and some other membrane bound proteins.
And then I saw something that I hadn't seen before. It said "H+ Light driven proton pump". At the cite, the scientists said they discovered, if they starve E. coli of oxygen, the organism can switch over to use solar power, instead of respiration. That's fantastic!
A turbine, a motor, and if the electron transport chain amplifier doesn't have enough power, just switch over to solar. E. coli? Primitive life forms? I don't think so. Wow!
